Project Description:
The Jundee Airport Upgrade is a major airfield improvement program supporting Northern Star Resources and the transition to a heavier Dash 8 Q400 fleet. The project includes a full upgrade of the airfield pavement, incorporating heavy civil pavement construction, stabilisation works and rigid concrete infrastructure for apron parking bays and equipment foundations.
Delivered to a remote location, the upgrade enhances the site’s longterm operational capacity and integrates with lighting system improvements to support the mine’s strategic logistics requirements.
Our Role:
Construction Sciences established a dedicated on-site annex laboratory to support the Jundee Airport Upgrade. The annex enables immediate turnaround of critical quality data, removing logistical delays and ensuring testing results align with project scheduling needs.
Our team is providing construction materials testing for earthworks, stabilised pavements, concrete and associated civil works, assuring the project is meeting compliance, verification and quality assurance requirements throughout delivery.
