Project Description:
This project required an upgrade and extension of the sand bypass building slurry pump pit.
Our Role:
Construction Sciences completed a geotechnical investigation and interpretative geotechnical reporting to inform the detailed design the slurry pump building associated with the Surfers Paradise Sand Backpass Project. The asset was owned by the City of Gold Coast and the project involved drilling two boreholes, to characterise the subsurface materials. Our geotechnical report provided the city with key geotechnical parameters, excavation conditions, shoring requirements, and earthworks recommendations.
