Congratulations to Micheal Fogarty-Carter from our Dubbo Laboratory on being awarded the 2024 Golden Shovel Award!
The Golden Shovel Award is presented annually to those who set the standard for excellence through dedication, teamwork, and a steadfast commitment to safe, high-quality outcomes.
Micheal joined Construction Sciences as a Senior Technician in Central Queensland. He later transferred to Coffs Harbour Laboratory and made a big impact across the NSW Regional operation. From day one his strong work ethic was impressive, delivering in his role, taking the initiative to mentor trainees and support with audits and day-to-day operations. Micheal later stepped into managing the Parkes Annex Laboratory during the final stages of the Parkes Bypass project, where his leadership skills helped guide a small team and strengthened client relationships.
Micheal is now a Senior CMT Technician at Dubbo base Laboratory, as the business continues to expand and service more client projects throughout regional New South Wales. This award recognises his reliability, dedication to quality, and commitment to project delivery, for which several clients have directly praised his efforts.
This award is well deserved and reflects Micheal’s hard work, commitment, and growing leadership at Construction Sciences.
